Material Properties & Technical Specifications

Incoloy 926 is a high-quality super austenitic stainless steel (also known as 6Mo or 6-moly alloy in the industry), which has 6% molybdenum and controlled nitrogen content to provide high corrosion resistance and high mechanical strength. Its balanced nickel and chromium composition make sure that this material has excellent performance in highly corrosive industrial environments, and has a good non-oxidising acid resistance towards sulfuric and phosphoric acid.

Its high levels of molybdenum and nitrogen give it excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, which is highly resistant even to the chloride environment, and the copper addition additionally makes sure that this material has great resistance to reducing acids, such as sulfuric acid. This is why Incoloy 926 is the best material to be used in critical industrial applications where normal stainless steels do not perform.
