About 17NiCrMo6-4 (1.6566) Forging Material (EN 10084)
Jiangsu Liangyi Co.,Limited is an ISO 9001:2015 certified professional manufacturer located in Jiangyin, Jiangsu, China. Our main products include 17NiCrMo6-4 (also known as 1.6566, 17NiCrMo6.4, 17NiCrMo64) open die forging parts and seamless rolled steel forged rings. Established in 1997, we have more than 27 years of professional forging experience and have supplied custom 17NiCrMo6-4 forged parts to industrial customers in more than 50 countries around the world, including Germany, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Brazil, and South Africa.
17NiCrMo6-4 is a premium low-carbon case hardening steel that meets the EN 10084 European standard. It is made with a minimum of 0.8% chromium, 1.2% nickel and 0.15% molybdenum. As one of the most widely used case hardening steels in heavy industry around the world, it has excellent medium-high hardenability, great machinability, and excellent dimensional stability during heat treatment. After standard case carburizing, quenching and tempering, the material has a surface hardness of 58-62 HRC and a high-toughness core , which means it has excellent wear resistance and can work well in heavy shock loads, impact forces ,variable load conditions, even in low-temperature operating environments.
All our forged 17NiCrMo6-4 material is melted in 30-ton ultra-high power electric arc furnaces (EAF), refined with advanced ladle metallurgy (LF), and processed with vacuum degassing (VD) and vacuum oxygen decarburization (VOD) processes to make sure it has great steel cleanliness, consistent microstructure, and minimal non-metallic inclusions. Electroslag remelting (ESR) is also available based on clients' specific technical requirements. We provide full EN 10204 3.1 Mill Test Certificates (MTC) for every delivery, with full material traceability from melting to finished machining. EN 10204 3.2 certification by third-party inspection bodies (BV, SGS, TUV) is available upon request.
